Errors In The Placement of Steel Reinforcement Bar
Proper fabrication of reinforcement in concrete construction is very important. There are some errors that can occur in the placement of the reinforcement on the site.
- Improper spacing of reinforcement (Main, Distribution).
- Inadequate lap length.
- At the continuous edge of the slab, reinforcement discontinuity can occur.
- Inadequate anchoring of the main reinforcement.
- With respect to the depth of the member, ineffective reinforcement was provided. Inadequate ring spacing (stirrups, ties).
- bars of smaller diameter were used.
- The concrete cover may not be provided correctly.
- The use of rusty reinforcement in construction.
- Non-uniform concrete lining of the reinforcement.
